Biography
Steph Blondet is a Puerto Rican visual artist based in Tampa Bay, Florida. Her sculptural paintings explore personal growth, grief, and the lived experience of being a woman through an abstract language of line, dimension, and shadow.
Blondet hand-forms individual clay lines of varying lengths and arranges them intuitively across cradled wood panels, allowing rhythm and movement to emerge through repetition and feeling. The dimensionality of these lines is central to the work. As light moves across the raised surfaces, the lines cast shadows that alter each composition throughout the day, revealing changing relationships between color, texture, and form. The result is a visual experience shaped by its surroundings and by the viewer’s perspective.
Blondet is represented by The Miller Gallery in Charleston, South Carolina. Recent exhibitions include Unfolding and Gardens of Curiosities at The Miller Gallery (2026), The Harding Art Show in Nashville (2025, 2026), and Red Dot Miami (2025). In 2026 she was commissioned to create a piece for Royal Caribbean’s Legend of the Seas, and she was a 2024 artist-in-residence at Drew Marc Studios. Her work has been featured by Great Day Live Tampa Bay, New Visionary Magazine, and Create! Magazine. It is held in private collections across the United States, Puerto Rico, and Canada.
